Together, Sandy and Thom have over thirty years of professional experience in and around health care, technology and research. Sandy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Masters degree in Bio-Organic Chemistry. Thom is a former Marine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Thom was working crazy hours at a fast-growing company when he discovered SuperSlow. After learning about it, Thom decided to start a SuperSlow program - it was convenient and quick – all that a busy person like himself needed. Wanting to share with others something that had made such a positive impact in his life, he decided to work toward becoming a certified SuperSlow instructor. When Sandy and Thom learned about the SuperSlow Zone, a new company founded by the man responsible for the SuperSlow protocol, Ken Hutchins, they saw an opportunity to bring this remarkable workout to San Diego. They jumped out of the corporate world and jumped into something they wholeheartedly believe in. On a personal note, Sandy and Thom enjoy bike riding, camping, hiking, reading, and spending time with their kids.

Hugh is a personal trainer with 20 plus years experience. Hugh completed his SuperSlow certification back in 2001, he joined our team at SuperSlow Zone in June 2007. Leaving a devoted following in New York City, Hugh listened to his heart and came out to San Diego to be with his girlfriend, a post-doctoral researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Hugh is fun to be around, he’s smart, he’s funny, he’s very knowledgeable, and he can get more out of you in 20 minutes than anything you might have thought possible. Hugh is one of only a handful of people in the country that free-flies parrots outside and untethered. Visit www.theotiseffect.com to see some great shots of Otis, one of the three birds he flies, being a parrot in Central Park. |
